The Guarneri String Quartet is one of today's most venerable ensembles. In addition to mastering the finest works in the traditional quartet repertoire, the Guarneri is committed to works by today’s foremost composers. For its Center concert, part of its farewell season, it will be joined by the Johannes String Quartet, an ensemble comprised of top-notch orchestra musicians who take time from their busy careers to pursue a love of the string quartet literature.
The 7:15 pm preview talk will feature Arnold Steinhart of the Guarneri String Quartet and Soovin Kim of the Johannes String Quartet.
